Welcome to The Plated Catering Co.! By placing an order, booking a service, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided
We offer full-service catering, drop-off catering, and private chef experiences for events of all sizes. All services are subject to availability and may require a deposit to secure your date.
2. Booking & Payment

A signed agreement and non-refundable deposit are required to secure your event date.

Full payment is due by [7 days prior to the event].

We accept [credit/debit cards, cash, and checks].

Invoices not paid on time may result in cancellation of services without refund.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details on cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling options.
4. Travel Fees
Travel fees may apply based on the distance from our kitchen to the event location. Fees are calculated based on mileage, tolls, travel time, and staffing needs.

Local events (within 20 miles) are typically included.

Events beyond 21 miles may incur additional charges and/or require lodging and per diem for staff.
Travel fees will be disclosed and agreed upon during the booking process.
5. Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
We strive to accommodate food allergies and dietary preferences with prior notice. However, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. All food is prepared in a shared commercial kitchen where common allergens (e.g., nuts, shellfish, gluten, dairy) may be present.
It is the client’s responsibility to inform guests and The Plated Catering Co. of any dietary concerns in advance.
6. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:

Provide accurate event details (date, time, location, access instructions)

Ensure access to the venue at the agreed-upon time

Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for setup, cooking, and/or serving

Communicate any changes in event logistics no less than [24] hours in advance
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in service delays, reduced service, or cancellation without refund.
7. Service Timing
We aim to arrive and serve at the agreed-upon time. Delays caused by weather, traffic, or venue-related issues will be communicated as quickly as possible. The Plated Catering Co. is not responsible for service delays outside of our control.
8. Equipment & Rentals
If your event includes rented equipment (e.g., plates, glassware, tables, serving ware), you are responsible for ensuring that all items are returned in the condition they were received.
Lost, damaged, or excessively dirty items may result in additional charges.
9. Photography & Social Media
We may take photos or videos at your event for promotional purposes (e.g., social media, website portfolio). If you prefer not to be photographed or featured, please notify us in writing prior to your event.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Plated Catering Co. shall not be held liable for:

Any allergic reactions or health issues due to undisclosed dietary restrictions or allergies.

Foodborne illness or contamination caused by improper food handling or storage by anyone other than our team.

Service interruptions due to power outages, inaccessible kitchens, unsafe workspaces, or lack of proper kitchen facilities.

Damage to client property, venue property, or third-party equipment unless caused by gross negligence on our part.

Delays or issues caused by third-party vendors, rentals, or venue staff.

Guests consuming undercooked items against our advice (e.g., raw or undercooked seafood/meat when requested).

Leftover food consumed after the event—we strongly advise discarding any perishable food not kept at proper temperature.
The client assumes all responsibility for informing their guests of risks related to food allergies and consumption of food after the event.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services after updates are posted constitutes your agreement to the updated terms.
