Meet the Team That Plates With Purpose
Our Story
It all started with food people wouldn’t shut up about.

We’re Kristin Britner and Zach Shay, the duo behind The Plated Catering Co. Kristin brings over a decade of hospitality know-how, turning "just serving" into an art form. Pair that with her marketing background, and you've got someone who knows exactly how to make your event feel personal, intentional, and oh-so-aesthetic.

Zach is our culinary wildcard—he’s been cheffing for more than 10 years and can MacGyver a masterpiece out of whatever’s in the fridge. He’s the guy who can turn “What do we have?” into “Holy crap, can I get the recipe?”

Together, we took our passion for hosting unforgettable dinners and turned it into a business so you could stop stressing about the food and start enjoying your party.
Why We Started
Because you deserve more than dry chicken and sad pasta salad.

Every time we hosted friends and family, people would leave raving about the food. And not in a polite “this is nice” way, more like texting us for leftovers and asking if we’d cater their next thing.
So, we thought: why not share that magic? Why not give people the kind of experience we love to create? One where every menu is tailored to cravings, vibes, and the people sitting around the table.

What Makes Us Different
1. Custom Menus for Every Craving
We don’t hand you a menu. We design one with you. From tacos to bourbon-glazed short ribs, your taste buds call the shots.
2. Trend-Savvy & Style-Forward
We care about the vibe and the plate. Expect fresh flavors, bold presentation, and a spread that’ll rack up likes before the first bite.
3. Curated Experiences, Not Just Meals
We’re not just feeding people. We’re creating moments that feel effortless, elevated, and totally you.

What People Say
People tell us we “get it.” We show up early, stay late, and pay attention to the little things (like that gluten-free cousin or the picky eater who only eats chicken and broccoli.

We’re the kind of caterers who can vibe with your weird uncle, charm your in-laws, and still deliver a five-star spread without breaking a sweat.
